Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Gather design requirements and provide Program Manager with time and hardware cost estimates
  • Work with mechanical designers to establish mechanical board design
  • Perform circuit design and schematic capture
  • Coordinate and approve PCB layout
  • Prepare BOM and fabrication documentation and follow revision control procedures
  • Verify and test PCBs and auxiliary electronics
  • Assesses the requirements of a project, develop task list, and work with Project Manager to determine scope of work, budget and scheduling
  • Monitor progress of work and alert Project Manager to change of scope or additional services
  • Consult with other team members regarding schematics and layouts
Skills & Experience
  • Experience with imaging sensors, cameras, bus protocols (CAN, SPI, and I2C), FPGA programming/debugging, automated manufacturing equipment and control systems
  • Proficiency with EE lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, etc.)
Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) MSEE preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in engineering design, preferably with high speed digital electronics
  • Analog and digital signal circuit design
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to design, analyze and debug electrical circuits in a fast-pace environment
  • Electrical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience tracking drawing revisions, engineering changes, part costs, BOMs and dealing with suppliers
  • Proficiency in ORCAD or similar CAD package
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to present to customers and leaders of various organizations
  • Ability to manage multiple PCB design projects
  • Some travel may be required
