Jabil Optics Germany (www.jabiloptics.com), a subsidiary of Jabil, Florida, is a leading provider of Optical design services for augmented, mixed and virtual reality, advanced camera systems and 3D sensing. In an international team, Jabil Optics Germany develops innovative customized opto-electronic modules for new generation products in Consumer Lifestyle, Automotive and Industrial. For our R&D location in Jena, Germany, we are seeking a:

Process Engineer for Opto-electronical Systems (male/female)


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Development of assembly and joining processes for the design stage
  • Creation of assembly documents (work instructions, test plans, specifications,
    quality documents) and requirement specifications for the automation technology
  • Processes automation with the appropriate machines and transfer to production
    stage within the Jabil Optics organization
  • Implementation of machine qualifying and acceptance / process capability tests
  • Communication and coordination with international development and manufacturing teams
  • Support of the ramp-up phase (partially on-site at the manufacturing location)
   


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in development, qualification and transfer of assembly and joining processes in an industrial environment
  • Practical experience in creating assembly and quality documents as well as developing machine quali-fying and process capability test
  • Experience in optics and automation technology preferred
  • Good knowledge of the English language (orally and in writing)
  • Willingness to travel world-wide (about 10%)
