In an international team, Jabil Optics Germany develops innovative customized opto-electronic modules for new generation products in Consumer Lifestyle, Automotive and Industrial. For our R&D location in Jena, Germany, we are seeking a:

System Architect for Camera Systems for Automotive Applications (m/f/d)


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and realize system designs of complex, highly automated products including pilot runs for serial production

  • Compile requirement specifications for system design and system components including technical and commercial characteristics

  • Manage life cycle of platforms and system components

  • Support the design process from a system architecture perspective

  • Lead the technical integration and validation of system components (compile control and system validation plans)

  • Prepare technical documentations on components and system solutions

  • Carry out competitor analyses and benchmarking with regards to system architecture

  • Communicate and present component and system solutions

  • Collaborate with the technology management, partners and system suppliers on a technical level

   


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Master's Degree in either Physics, Electronics, or Engineering

  • Many years of professional experience in an industrial production environment preferably in automotive sector

  • Experience in the setup of product lines and transfer of new products into mass production

  • Deep knowledge in optics, mathematics, IT systems, as well as software and machine control programming

  • Knowledge with regards to quality standards in the manufacturing industry and technology development (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)

  • Willingness to travel world-wide (20%)
