In an international team, Jabil Optics Germany develops innovative customized opto-electronic modules for new generation products in Consumer Lifestyle, Automotive and Industrial. For our R&D location in Jena, Germany, we are seeking a:

Supply Chain Development Manager (m/f/d)


  • Perform situational analysis leading to Strategy Development around all Supply Chain
    Disciplines (Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Design, etc.)

  • Develop relationships that allow the ability to influence the Customer, Suppliers,
    and key stakeholders within Jabil

  • Commodity roadmap's for lens Technology and Image processing silicon providers

  • Provides leadership and strategic direction to individuals who directly and
    indirectly play a role in Strategy creation/ implementation

  • Identify creative ways to reduce cost, and develop and deploy an appropriate
    Costing model which supports our Customers and Jabil's negotiation calendar

  • Pricing leadership on key optics components (image sensors, lens,
    optical components, MEMS)

  • Support/ drive the Optics Product teams to the most competitive materials

  • In conjunction with BD negotiate Customer terms that don't leave Jabil
    exposed based on quote model (Pricing & Inventory)

  • Working in concert with Customer's SCM & Design organizations to create
    alignment in Supplier Selection strategies

  • Partner with the AT optics product teams to produce technology roadmaps



  • Master's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent

  • Practical experience in supply chain management and business development in an industrial environment

  • Experience in optics and automotive preferred

  • Good knowledge of the English language (orally and in writing)

  • Willingness to travel world-wide (about 15%)
