In an international team, Jabil Optics Germany develops innovative customized opto-electronic modules for new generation products in Consumer Lifestyle, Automotive and Industrial. For our R&D location in Jena, Germany, we are seeking a:

Sales/Business Development Manager (m/f/d)


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define, develop and implement a sales strategy, which contributes
    to the corporate sales strategic direction

  • Develop business relations and trust with existing and potential customers,
    support business growth and new business wins

  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements and analyze
    RFQ to enable development of services and operational capabilities
    to support business wins

  • Support the Business Unit to provide competitive quote to the customers
    and enable profitable business for Jabil

  • Promote Jabil’s company profile (e.g. capabilities, footprint and
    services) to new and existing customers

  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers

  • Work closely with Business Development, Operations, and legal
    groups for quote and contract development

  • Provide regular updates to the General Manager and marketing
    team on the execution of the strategy)

   


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Master's degree in industrial engineering or equivalentMaster's degree in
    industrial engineering, business or equivalent

  • 5+ years’ business experience within the Electronics/Photonics industry

  • Strong entrepreneurial skills, self-starter and an ability to work with
    very little supervision

  • Understanding the interaction of industrial development, sales and
    business development

  • Strong intercultural skills (especially US and Asia)

  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (orally and in writing)

  • Willingness to travel world-wide (about 20-30%)
